Easy! Snips back from his jollys. Back in the shire.

Back to his roots at Beatherder 2024. What a bloody wonderful welcome home.

Can't believe we first went to this magical little place 13 years ago. Back when we were lil bubbas. Beatherder is always going to have a special place in my heart.

This year felt extra special. The Bijou Edition. Small and cosy. Full of friendly northerners and banging beats. From the old timers, Beatherder legends like Dub Pistols and Mr Scruff, to the new stuff I had never heard of before this weekend.

Shout out to Smoky T's, your musical menu was wicked all weekend. The mellow vibes of Favilla, easing me into the Saturday morning. To the madness that performed under the name No Pressure Collective, Myo thanks for the tip! Improv rapping, combined with a sax, a guitar and the UK beatboxing champion. Absolute craziness, and these lads had never played together before.

No Pressure Collective

To celebrate and say thank you to everyone that makes Beatherder happen every year, the tune catcher has been out in the field, working hard herding those beats. And boy have I got a cracking selection for you today.

Let me take you on a journey through my festival. Tune by tune, presented in the order I found them. Sit back and enjoy.

I can't cover them all, but I do want to give a couple more shout outs.

Eva Lazarus, you absolute G. Rude gyal indeed. I love your vibe. And your hats are spicy. Your boy is the cutest thing, I remember seeing him as a little baby at Boomtown 2022. I bet you are an incredible mother. Big respect!

Beans on Toast, you are a wrong un in the best kind of way. Funny bastard. I hope you all took your shit home with you!

Gay Paris, what a class stage. Non stop bangers. You can always rely on it for a good time. I don't know what tunes I got from there, but if you come across some baseline this is the place it likely came from.

Then there was Dutty Moonshine Big Band. Sunday in the sunshine. What a show, it was my first but it ain't going to be my last that's for sure.

Finally, let me say what an absolute pleasure it was to see The Ring this year. Wow, how you have grown. I remember back when you were small, just a mound ring of dirt and grass speckled with a few young saplings. What a long term project, love that from you Beatherder.

The Ring

Right that's me. Big up yaselves Beatherder family! I bloody love ya.

Team

See you in the field, you ain't gonna to want to miss next year. Trust me ;).

Wise words from Snip, or something like that. He also has some old content on medium. Hopefully one day that will end up here too.
